How do I apply for a payment plan?
It's important to note that your Council may not offer this service through Payble. It is recommended that you contact Council regarding your options. Payble is not able to assist with these plans if not offered by your Council.
These plans will need the approval of Council before they become active.
How-to
The steps outlined in this document may vary as they are dependent on Council policy and procedure.
This document assumes that you've begun the process of creating a plan within Payble, and are looking at alternatives to the proposed solution.
On the schedule approval screen will see a hyperlink to 'View payment plan options' - if you are on the payment screen, you need to restart the process or press the back button.

An alternative view of where this hyperlink may appear is shown below. In this example, the ratepayer is attempting to sign up for an autopay plan, however they are required to pay their arrears before doing so.
Terms and conditions for this process will appear.
Click Accept and Continue.
Next, you will specify the start date for the plan. The start date will always be in the future to allow Council time to review the proposed plan.
You will need to enter the proposed amount that you wish to pay, and the frequency for payments.
Click Next.
You will be prompted to add a payment method next. If the plan is approved this will be the method that payments are deducted from beginning at your start date.
Select an existing payment method or add a new method.
Enter applicable details, and click the 'Acknowledge and continue button.' The form in input fields will vary between Credit/Debit Card and Bank Account.
A summary will appear. You must now wait for the Council to respond by either accepting or rejecting your plan. You will be notified automatically via SMS or Email on the outcome when made.
