How do I pay my animal registration?
It's important to note that this feature may not be enabled for your council. Please check your council's website for animal registrations for more information.
This document explains how to pay your annual animal registration renewal using the Payble online payment portal.
Additional Information
Two payment options are available when paying your animal registration renewal — a one-off payment or an autopay plan. Both options are explained separately within this guide.
Please note: Only credit or debit cards are accepted for animal registration renewal payments. Bank account payments are not supported for this notice type.
How-to
To get started, navigate to your council's animal renewal payment portal link or scan a QR code on a registration notice or reminder notice.
You will be prompted to sign in using either your mobile number or email address (if supported.)

Enter your chosen contact detail and then enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your nominated method.
Please note: If you have navigated from councils website and not scanned a QR code, you will need to know your animal reference number to perform a search.
You will then be taken to your account confirmation screen, which displays your animal's registration details for review. 
Review the details shown on the account confirmation screen, then click Continue to proceed to the payment options.

Option 1: Set-up automatic payment (recommended)
The below section outlines the steps for setting up an autopay plan for your animal registration renewal and is the recommended option.
Please note: Once set up, your autopay plan will automatically continue each animal registration year unless cancelled. The renewal amount may change year to year in line with updated registration fees. You may cancel or update your plan at any time before a payment is processed.
- On the payment options screen, select Set-up automatic payment, then click Continue.
- Review the autopay terms, which outline what to expect from the plan:

- Once you are happy with the terms, click Continue.
- Review the upcoming scheduled payment date and amount.

- You can select an existing card (if you've previously used Payble) or add a new card by clicking the Add card button shown above.
- If adding a new card, fill in the form that opens.
- You will need to agree to the Payble terms and conditions, privacy policy and any applicable surcharge that is charged by council.
- You will not be able to add a new card if you do not agree to all terms shown.
- Select card and then click Schedule payments

- The payments are now scheduled and will be deducted on the dates shown previously. You will be shown a summary of the plan created.

Your autopay plan is now active. You will receive reminders before each annual payment is taken.
Option 2: Making a one-off payment
The below section outlines the steps for completing a one-off payment. This is not required if you have created an autopay plan above.
Please note: This process is making the payment immediately. It is not scheduling it for deduction on the due date. If you want the payment deducted on the due date you will need to create an autopay plan.
- On the payment options screen, select Make one-off payment, then click Continue.
- Review the total amount owing on the payment confirmation screen, then click Continue.

- You can select an existing card (if you've previously used Payble) or add a new card by clicking the Add card button shown above.
- If adding a new card, fill in the form that opens.
- You will need to agree to the Payble terms and conditions, privacy policy and any applicable surcharge that is charged by council.
- You will not be able to add a new card if you do not agree to all terms shown.
- Select card and then click Pay now

- Once your payment has been processed, a payment confirmation screen will appear, confirming the payment was successful, along with a summary of your animal renewal information.

Frequently Asked Questions
What payment methods are accepted? Only credit cards and debit cards are accepted for animal registration renewal payments. Bank account payments are not available for this notice type.
Will I be charged a surcharge? A surcharge may be charged by your council. You will be notified of any surcharge when selecting a payment method to use.
Does autopay renew automatically each year? Yes. Once set up, your autopay plan will continue each animal registration year until you cancel it. You will receive a reminder before each payment is taken.
Can I cancel my autopay plan? Yes. You can cancel your autopay plan at any time before the scheduled payment is processed. Sign in to the portal and navigate to your active plans to manage or cancel.
What if my animal's details are incorrect? If any details shown on the account confirmation screen are incorrect, click Update pet details before proceeding with payment.
